I’ve moved! My blog is now over at www.scrapadventure.com!

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on getting my blog self-hosted and I’m finally there, phew! If you use a reader, be sure to update the blog there or just start a feed for my new address here.

You’ll find this friday’s photo over at the new address too – it’s a quick snap of something that’s been making me smile all week :)

I met this adorable little guy in Brighton while we were there for the food festival. I can’t help but post these photos of him waking up after a nap as well…

Can’t handle the cuteness!

A few weeks back I read about the upcoming Brighton Food & Drink Festival. I’ve been meaning to go to Brighton for ages and this seemed like the perfect excuse to finally visit, so last weekend the fiance and I hopped on a train and headed down for the day.

Brighton is only an hour from London by train, so it’s the perfect day trip to get out of the city and breathe in some fresh, seaside air…

Such a cute name for a chilli plant

Finally, my first Pimm’s!

Freshly-shucked Oysters

Our list of local brews at the beer festival event

One of the coolest chandeliers I’ve ever seen, made entirely from upside-down wine glasses

As you can probably tell from all the photos, we had a great time in Brighton! It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday in Spring.

I really love festivals like this, it’s so fun to try small portions of so many different types of food. The beer festival was really fun too, there was a huge range of locally brewed beers and ciders and we managed to try quite a few between the two of us – my favourite was the Happily Ever After beer, brewed in honour of the upcoming Royal nuptials :)

I haven’t included my favourite photo from the day – I’m saving that one for Photo Friday tomorrow so keep an eye out for it, it’s very cute!

This Friday I’m wishing my Mum & Dad a wonderful 33rd wedding anniversary! Thank you for being such incredible role models – not just as parents but in your marriage too. If Matt & I are even half as happy as you two are in 33 years time, we’ll be very happy indeed xxx

One of my goals is to share more links to blogs I love. It’s not that I don’t like sharing (really, I do), it’s just one of those things you take for granted – I’m always discovering new & inspiring blogs and I wouldn’t have found them unless I’d seen them somewhere else in the first place! So I’m going to remember to share more often the blogs that are making me happy, in case you’re yet to discover them too!

Kyla Roma // I’ve been following Kyla’s blog for quite a few months now and I’m still loving reading about her life on the Canadian prairie. Her blog is one of those rare kinds that I never want to miss reading an update from and it’s always a joy to be inspired by a woman making her big dreams come true!

Pretty Zoo

Pretty-Zoo // I recently-discovered Zoe’s blog and it’s quickly become one of my new favourites. She’s a fellow New Zealander living in Europe, so as well as having something in common, I love reading about her travels and life in Germany from her Kiwi-perspective. Also, she’s holding a kitten in the above photo, which counts for a lot :)

Chandeleah // She may be one of my best friends in the entire world (and one of my bridesmaids!) but she also writes a super-inspiring blog about her ongoing journey of fitness & healthy eating. This girl continues to blow me away with her seemingly in-exhaustable levels of enthusiasm, motivation & positivity – even amid the setbacks along the way. I love reading her blog & I’m proud to call her a friend in real life too :)

Magnolia Rouge // Now that our wedding is less than a year away (!), you’ll probably see a few wedding-blogs in these upcoming features. This is the blog from New Zealand Stationery designer Kate, from Ruby & Willow and she features lots of beautiful, inspiring real weddings on her blog. The thing that makes her blog different from all the other super-inspiring real wedding blogs out there is that she has lots of gorgeous Kiwi weddings on hers, which I love because that’s also where our wedding will be.

In other news, this week is shaping up to be Awesome (with a capital A!)

I interviewed a super-inspiring photographer this morning for work, which really lifted my spirits and to top off the day our Save-the-Date cards arrived in the post. It’s the first bit of wedding stationery that we’ve printed so far (obviously) so it’s pretty exciting for a paper-addict like me :)

Have a great week!

Cherry blossom tree in London, Spring must be on the way!

I finally had a chance to sit down with some paper and photos and make something this weekend, it was lovely!

I made this layout as part of February’s 6×4 challenge, this month we need to use two photos (here’s my January one-photo layout) – I couldn’t find two portrait-oriented photos that I liked so I picked two landscape photos and cropped them down instead, which works much better I think.

Decided not to go with any journalling on this one, I think the title says it all :)

As you may have read in one of my previous posts, I stumbled across an amazing paper shop in Prague and ended up buying a bunch of vintage Czech stamps, so I wanted to incorporate these into the layout somewhere. I’m pretty happy with the end result, I was skeptical about whether glittery thickers and vintage stamps would go together but I think they look OK…

And that’s it!

If you want to find out more about the challenge you can read about it over on Shimelle.com or Two Peas.

Have a wonderful week!

Thought I would take a break from my usual Friday Photo format and post a bunch of my favourite photos from my trip to New Zealand now that I’m back in London in a post-holiday funk, dreaming of warm days back at home.

These photos pretty much sum-up everything I love about being at home :)

fishing trips at dawn

Lavender at sunrise

morning yoga on the beach in our pyjamas

Pohutukawa in bloom + blue skies

bush walks

tyre swings

grilled mussels, so yummy…

…and my favourite fish + chips in the entire world!

Apologies for being a little quiet on the blog while I’ve been away! There’s lots to share so I’ll resume normal, non-photo-only posts once I finish unpacking :p
